Prayers for Chloe

Subject: Fwd: Prayers for Chloe, 5 in Beijing Hospital

Dave,
Please put this on the New Hope web/ email list. Suzi is a dear friend and Karen Conner is a friend of mine too. Also as a mother especially of a 5 y.o. I feel compassion for this child and her family and loved ones.
Thanks,

Sue

Yins know I rarely send mass emails (to this largesse). If you have gotten this and haven't heard from me in a while, know that you are on this list b/c I know you to be an amazing pray-er and/or that you know the agony of being overseas and not near family at time of crisis. We'll catch up later.
Right now, I'm asking you to pray mightily for a miracle.
Chloe, my friend Karen Connor's 5 year old niece, is in a coma in a Beijing Hospital. She moved to China with her family last year. Karen's brother in law is a pastor at a church in China.
They were at the zoo and ready to cross the street, when the light turned green, Chloe said it's okay to go and went into the street. A car plowed into her. She has a broken femur, ribs, and hemorrhaging in the brain. This all happened about 14 hrs ago (China is like 12 hrs behind us.) She is in an English speaking hospital in Beijing and they are considering flying her to Hong Kong
We are praying specifically for these things:
  • For calmness of the mother, grandmother and aunts of Chloe, that they could be able to cope with the uncertainty.
  • For a MIRACLE. God is God, He decides, but we can ask for a miracle, so we are.
  • For the wisdom of all the healers involved: the doctors, the nurses, and Jehovah-Rophe, the God who heals.
Thank you, and God bless your day as you pray for Chloe.
Yours in Christ,
Suzi Wackerbarth

Baby Reid in PICU

Please pray for little baby Reid. He is three months old and is in the PICU @ Children's Hospital with a breathing tube. He is my friend Charmaine's nephew. He has come down with a very rare form of pneumonia and may possibly need a bone marrow transplant. I am not sure of all the medical details but I know they plan to keep him on a breathing tube for at least five more weeks. This unfortunately means, they are keeping him asleep. If he needs a transplant he and his family will have to travel to North Carolina where he will have to stay for five months. Charmaine's brother and wife will have a place to live and a meal plan there, but they will still need to pay their bills here. Reid's parents' names are Damian and Holly and they have an eight year old daughter whose name I am unsure of. Anyway, the whole family is just beside themselves as you can imagine. Also if you can keep Reid's development in prayer. He has a physical therapist who comes to move his muscles, but learning motor skills is not going to be happening until he gets better, and all his parents can do is pat or touch him through the glass. No hugging right now. Very sad to me as a mom on how many times a day I hug Alden. Feel free to pass this on to anyone you think may want to pray as well. The doctors have been very hopeful so far, and that is good news.

Thanks a bunch!
Melanie
